‘Strange Adventures #10’ (review)

Written by Tom King
Art by Mitch Gerards and Evan Shaner
Published by DC Comics

This has been quite an adventurous ten issues for this series.

I was never the biggest Adam Strange fan but maybe he just needed the right creative team to make his character something worthwhile to read. The creative team here does exactly that and make this something truly excellent and worth picking up.

Adam Strange is on Earth fighting for both his life and everyone on the planet. He has made a pact to the people of Earth that he will defend them all until his dying breath. That may in fact happen.

He is trying to save the world from the invading Pykkts alien army!

We get to see this completely epic battle.

We also get to see Adam’s wife Alanna get a mysterious letter that tells her something that may be key for Adam to know. Alanna is tired of hanging back and letting things happen.

She decides to get into the action and heads over to get this information to her husband.
There is a lot of adventure and excitement that happens because of this.

We get to see Alanna’s adventure. We get to see Adam Strange giving all that he has to try and save everything.

We also get a glimpse of what is coming as this book heads to it’s concluding chapters.

The writing by Tom King is quite excellent. He writes a great script here and knows how to work well with his artists. Mitch Gerards and Evan Shaner do a spot on job with the artwork. This is a great issue of an excellent series. I look forward to seeing how they end it all.

RATING: A
