‘American Vampire 1976 #8’ (review)

Written by Scott Snyder
Art by Rafael Albuquerque
Published by DC Comics

This has been my favorite series of American Vampire.

All of the other ones have been pretty good, but this one really has been spectacular. The creative team has been knocking it out of the park, and this issue is pretty damn spectacular as well. I am enjoying this very much.

There is a lot at stake in this issue for both the characters and the world they live in. There was a terrible event that had happened to them; and they are all reeling.  Two members of the team have their lives hanging by a thread and the third one is going to be fed to the Beast.

What are they all going to do?

The end game is near. There is a demon army about to invade the Earth! There are also other factions that are looking to fight them all!

We get to see all the different characters start to gather themselves for the climatic battle that is coming!

Things are looking pretty bad. It started look like the final battle may be determined by which way Skinner Sweet decides to go.

Will he join the forces of evil or is he going to go towards the way of good? By the end of the issue, we may just get our answer.

This is a great issue that really ramps up the drama.

Scott Snyder always writes a great script and he does that here as well. The art by Rafael Albuquerque is some of the best in the business.

This book is quite excellent and getting even more exciting as we head into these final chapters.

RATING: A
