‘Batman/Catwoman #4’ (review)

Written by Tom King
Art by Clay Mann
Published by DC Comics

I am really enjoying this comic! The creative team have done a decidedly different approach to this book. The results are astounding. I am loving what I have read thus far and this issue cements the story even more. This is great!

There is a lot of tension as this book begins.

We get to see an incident that happened in the past. Apparently, the Joker has placed a bomb somewhere in Gotham City.

Batman looks to stop it but is lost as to where it could be. This causes a rift between him and Catwoman. That is because Catwoman knows where the bomb is!

She has her reasons not to tell Batman.

This affects the story going on in the present day as well. In the last few issues, Andrea Beaumont has been revealed to be Phantasm. This past story affects how she is going to handle the Joker.

But wait! There’s more!

In the future Catwoman has murdered the Joker! She is trying to keep that secret from her daughter who is Batwoman! A whole lot of insanity happens! By the end of this issue, I was exhilarated and exhausted and I could not wait to see what comes next.

The story but Tom King is tops! King is  doing a good job giving us something we haven’t seen before and he is keeping it fresh. The art by Clay Mann is something else. Mann is doing a killer job on this, and his art is the best of his career.

We are a third of the way through this series and it only seems to get better and better.

RATING: A
