‘Future State: Robin Eternal #2’ (review)

Written by Meghan Fitzmartin
Art by Eddy Barrows
Published by DC Comics

This title has been a very intriguing entry into the Future State line of books.

There hasn’t been a really good “Robin” title in quite some time so this fits the bill nicely. I have really enjoyed what the creative team had brought to this book, and it has been one heck of a ride!

Robin has been dipped into a makeshift Lazarus Pit!

He is looking pretty insane!

We get to see him covered in green goop at the beginning of the issue. He takes down a giant robot looking thing. And then he regroups for a second.

That is when reinforcements arrive!

A huge battle erupts!

It gets pretty crazy. After this, Robin starts to go a little bit nuts and he tries to regroup. It doesn’t go so well. There is a lot of drama that erupts. But he gets it together enough for one last assault on the Magistrate.

This leads to the conclusion of this series. Things do not go as planned for Robin and his team. This all comes to a head at the end of the issue which was a perfect ending for this series.

I have to say that they have done a great job with this.

The story for this book is pretty damn spectacular. I have to say that this is pretty well written and has great characterizations. The art is Eddy Barrow’s best work. He has never been better and really pulls out all of the stops in this comic.

RATING: A
