‘Strange Adventures #8’ (review)

Written by Tom King
Art by Mitch Gerads
and Evan “Doc” Shaner
Published by DC Comics

This is probably the greatest story ever told featuring the character of Adam Strange.

Writer Tom King has given us an excellent script which is realized perfectly from his artists, both Evan “Doc” Shaner and Mitch Gerads. This is an exciting book to read month in and month out.

This issue starts out with the Justice League scattered across the Earth. They are fighting the Marauders the best way they know how and it is really cool to see.

Tom King structures the story in an amazingly cool way with a bunch of glimpses at the bigger battle happening.

It is really a lot of fun to see and it is completely epic.

Mr. Terrific even joins the fight and puts his investigation of Adam Strange down for the time being.

He will get back to it, but for right now there is a bigger battle happening.

As the issue progresses, we start to see that Adam Strange will do anything to save Rann.

We learn what exactly that may entail. We also see that he is completely willing to do that very thing. This sets the story on an interesting spin, and a lot of things are affected by it.

The artwork by both Gerads and Shaner is tops here. They can handle the big epic battles extremely well but also the quieter character moments. Their artwork is something special indeed.

Overall, this is another great issue of an epic series!
