This has been the year of Bill and Ted.
First, the third movie had come out. Now, we have the conclusion of this entertaining mini-series. I was a bit sad when I finished reading this. Mostly because we may not get much more new Bill and Ted stories after this very issue.
This book is about Bill and Ted still trying to find the music that will unite the world. But things have gotten out of hand. Their friends have all been kidnapped. Bill and Ted are pretty much the cause.
What is our intrepid duo going to do?
Well, they form a plan. It seems like a very far fetched plan.
But can it work?
In the meantime, the evil metal band named Vile Empire unleash these evil trolls to take out Bill and Ted!
A battle of sorts erupts! It is completely silly but also a hell of a lot of fun as well!
The rest of the book has the two making their way to save their friends. Things get kind of dark. Can the two of them save their friends and also save the universe? I will say that the resolution of this story is perfect in it’s own way and definitely is quality stuff.
The story is well done. Dorkin has a great handle on these characters and he just has himself a good time writing then. Langridge does a great job drawing this too. It is sad that this is the last issue but hopefully the creative team will one day return to these characters.
That would be bodacious.
