‘Batman Beyond #50’ (review)

Written by Dan Jurgens
Art by Sean Chen
Published by DC Comics

This fun and entertaining series is coming to an end with this issue.

I have loved this book and these characters very much and it has been very enjoyable. The characters themselves were deepened and it is a bit sad that this is ending. This has been a comic wit some great world building in it throughout it’s entire run.

At the beginning of this issue, we see that Terry McGinnis stands accused of some horrible crimes. The problem is that he didn’t commit them! But who is going to believe him?  This leads to whole mess of problems and everything just goes to hell in a hand basket quickly!

We slowly start to learn that one of Terry’s old enemies named Inque is going around dressed as Batman.

Inque is the one committing these horrible crimes! But there is a lot more to it than just that. That brings Wonder Woman into the equation as she sets off to stop Terry.

But wait!

Inque is the one responsible for these crimes!

A lot of fighting ensues. All of it is pretty awesome. Terry has to convince Wonder Woman that he is innocent! But can he?  Or is Terry going to end up dead in his final issue?

This is a hell of a lot of fun.

Dan Jurgens does a great job with his script in keeping the action  both fun and exciting. The art by Sean Chen is perfect as well.

This has been a great series from the very start and I am sorry to see it go.

Hopefully, Batman Beyond returns in some form again sometime soon.

RATING: B+
