‘Green Lantern: Season 2  #6’ (review)

Written by Grant Morrison
Art by Liam Sharp
Published by DC Comics

This series is one of my favorites. Month in and month out, the creative team takes this character to places that I haven’t seen before.

Grant Morrison is a hell of a writer and artist Liam Sharp gives us incredible imagery in every issue. This is really starting to feel like a classic comic book run. It is pretty great.

Hal Jordan finds himself in an alien medical place at the beginning of this issue.

All of his adventures has led him here. He becomes aware of his surrounding and then he sees that his ring is missing. Hal is too weak at the moment, however, to do much about it.

Meanwhile, a war is raging outside of where Hal.

The ship is being rocked back and forth. Hal tries to get himself together. This part is actually pretty exhilarating as we see a weakened Hal still trying to be the best space cop that he can be.

He eventually finds that one of the weird creatures on this spacecraft has his ring. They have a pretty funny exchange and then Hal takes his ring back!

Hal joins the battle and not a moment too soon. But is his participation enough to turn the tide in this battle?

We get one hell of a cliffhanger to end the issue.

I immediately wanted the next issue in my hands. It is so interesting and compelling and I have no no clue as to where we are headed. I do know that it is going to be great, especially with such a talented creative team at the helm.

RATING: A
