This has been a delightful little series.
The writing is light and breezy and the art is decent. It is a tale we have seen a bunch of times before but it has a new take on the themes presented. Those concepts are handled fairly well.
The beginning of this issue has Peruvia going up against the villains.
Peruvia is much stronger than she originally let on in the previous issues. She claims to have never been in a battle before.
Is she strong enough to beat the evil in front of her?
Or is she bluffing?
A lot of the issue shows the confrontation between Peruvia and the evil entity. They talk and throw barbs back and forth and it is genuinely interesting. We learn more about what the evil beings want.
We also see a bigger scope of the comic than I had originally thought.
We also get to see Lottie trying to figure out a plan to get Peruvia back. They have been separated and it is not a good thing.
We get to see why that is in this issue. We also get to see Lottie finally do something on her own using her new skill sets.
This is an interesting comic book to say the least. It is entertaining and intelligent enough to keep the reader engaged the entire time. The art by Soo Lee is great as well, and I am looking forward to seeing where these two creators take us from here on.
