‘Dial H For Hero #12’ (review)

Written by Sam Humphries
Art by Joe Quinones
Published by DC Comics

This book has been a pretty decent series overall.

There have been some good moments and some poor ones as well. Overall though, it has been a good read.

This final issue is pretty strong as well and it finishes off the miniseries on a good note.

The opening of the issue has Miguel writing a letter (in a sense) to Superman.

He tells Superman  that he has screwed up real bad.

We then get to see Thunderbolt about to rewrite history and bring everyone to a place called the Overvoid!

The Dial H dial is being used for dastardly deeds and things are looking pretty hopeless.

We then get to see Miguel and Summer falling down the void. They have a scene here where they forgive each other. It is a very nicely handled scene. They realize that only together can they save all of reality.

And that is exactly what they aim to do. Things get exciting!

The universe is falling apart. Things look grim. But Miguel and Summer get it together. They are ready to make their last stand. And they do so! And it is a fantastic outcome for both them and the people reading.

The end of the book leaves things open. I hope we get to see more adventures by this creative team. They had a lot of fun making this (the cameos in this last issue are amazing) and it all just worked. For now, this was a very satisfying series.

RATING: A
